NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Holmes County, Florida, will accept sealed bids until 3:00 pm (CST) December 1, 2020, for the lease of eight (8) motor graders for the County’s Road and Bridge Department. (Bid provisions, bid forms and related specifications may be obtained from the Holmes County Board Office, 107 East Virginia Ave., Bonifay, FL 32425; Telephone: 850-547-1119; Email: hcadmin@holmescountyfl.org).

At approximately 5:00 pm (CST), on December 1, 2020, the bids will be opened and read aloud.  All bids must be in sealed envelopes reflecting on the outside thereof the bidder’s name and “LEASE OF EIGHT (8) MOTOR GRADERS – BID #20-09, HCBCC”.

LATE SUBMITTALS RECEIVED AFTER THE AFOREMENTIONED DEADLINE DATE, EITHER BY MAIL, OR OTHERWISE, WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AND SHALL BE RETURNED UNOPENED.  THE TIME OF RECEIPT WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE TIME RECEIVED IN THE HCBCC OFFICE. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER FOR ASSURING THAT THE BID IS RECEIVED IN THE HCBCC OFFICE BY THE DESIGNATED DATE AND TIME. NO FAXED, ELECTRONIC OR ORAL BID WILL BE ACCEPTED.

The County reserves the right to award the bid to the firm/individual submitting a responsive bid with a resulting negotiated agreement which is most advantageous and in the best interest of Holmes County and to waive any irregularity or technicality in bids received as the County deems in its best interest.  Holmes County shall be the sole judge of the bids and the resulting negotiated agreement that is in its best interest, and its decision will be final.  Holmes County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

To be considered, the Firm must submit an original and two (2) copies of the Bid in a sealed envelope or package, clearly marked with the Firm’s name and address, and “LEASE OF EIGHT (8) MOTOR GRADERS – BID #20-09, HCBCC” on the cover addressed to:

At approximately 5:00 pm (CST), on December 1, 2020, the bids will be opened and read aloud. All bids must be in sealed envelopes reflecting on the outside thereof the bidder’s name and “COLD MIX REJUVENATING ADDITIVE – BID #20-08, HCBCC”.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD

Intent to Recommend Award: In accordance with Holmes County Procurement Policies and Florida Law, the Holmes County Board of County Commissioners intends to award the following project to the responsive bidder, World Risk Management/Public Risk Management:

HOLMES COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL #20-07, HCBCC: WORKERS’ COMPENSATION, PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE COVERAGES.

Award Protest Information: At the date and time indicated below, this Notice of Intent to Award was posted in Holmes County, Florida, as well as on the website for the Holmes County Board of County Commissioners. Any person/firm who is adversely affected by Holmes County’s intended decision shall file with Holmes County a Notice of Protest in writing within seventy-two (72) hours after the posting of this Notice of Intent to Award. A formal written protest shall then be filed within ten (10) days after the date the Notice of Protest is filed. The formal written protest shall state with particularity the facts and law upon which the protest is based. Saturdays, Sundays, and State holidays shall be excluded in the computation of the seventy-two (72) hour time periods provided by in this paragraph.

Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, or failure to post the bond or other security required by law within the time allowed for filing a bond shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes.

WORKERS’ COMPENSATION, PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE COVERAGES

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Holmes County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, by and through its Board of County Commissioners (hereinafter “County”), intends to solicit proposals for Property, Casualty and Workers’ Compensation Insurance Coverages. The County prefers to select one entity to provide insurance and related services, either directly or through brokered insurance placements. The County reserves the right to decide, at its discretion, which options and coverages shall be purchased. Insurance companies with expertise in this field are invited to submit a proposal. The County requests all proposers to provide a premium breakdown for each policy option as well as coverage, limits, deductibles, etc.

“RFP #20-07, HCBCC” package can be obtained from: Holmes County Board of County Commissioners Administrative Office, 107 E. Virginia Avenue, Bonifay, Florida, 32425; telephone: (850) 547-1119; or email: hcadmin@holmescountyfl.org. The proposal shall be submitted to the attention of the County Project Director no later than 4:00PM (cst), on Friday, September 4, 2020. The County reserves the right to waive formalities in any proposal and to accept or reject any and all proposals in whole or in part without cause and to accept the proposal that in the judgment of the Holmes County Board of County Commissioners will be in the best interest of the County.
