Roping Road Bridge B-SCOP
NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS
The Holmes County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in providing construction services for the following project:
This project is for repairs to Roping Road over East Pittman Creek Peak Road Bridge #524166 in Holmes County. The proposed repairs include replacing all runner planks, placing riprap in channel between spans 2 and 3, replace damaged wingwalls, filling in erosion at left wingwall and right approach shoulder and shimming beams 8-11. All work is to be completed within the existing right-of-way. Total length of the project is 0.021 miles.
Completion date for this project will be 120 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.
Plans and specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc., 20684 Central Avenue East, Blountstown, Florida 32424. For questions, please contact Jon Sims at (850) 209-8528 or jsims@dewberry.com. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.
Liquidated damages for failure to complete project on the specified date will be set at $1,000.00 per day.
Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid, for “Roping Road Bridge B-SCOP”.
Bids will be received until 10:00 AM (CDT) on October 20, 2025 at the Holmes County BOCC Office, and opened at 10:05 AM (CDT) on October 20, 2025 and will be presented to the Board on the 21st day of October 2025 at 9:00 AM (CDT). The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.
Cost for Plans and Specifications will be $50.00 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to DEWBERRY ENGINEERS INC. Digital sets are available at no charge.
The Holmes County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida.
RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION
Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the County may not request documentation of or consider a vendor’s social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.

This project will include repairs to Peak Road over Angelico Branch Bridge #524195. The scope of this project will be to remove and replace the superstructure beams and deck and repair timbers on the north abutment and replace the south abutment entirely.
